Bible Literacy Report summarizes “What do American students know about the Bible, and what do they need to know in order to get a good education?” This research project consists of two parts: (I) a qualitative research study of what the best high-school English teachers think their students need to know about the Bible and (II) the only recent nationally representative survey of American teens’ religious knowledge to uncover what American students currently know about the Bible (and other religious texts).

This research project consists of two parts: (I) a qualitative research study of what the best high-school English teachers think their students need to know about the Bible and (II) the only recent nationally representative survey of American teens’ religious knowledge to uncover what American students currently know about the Bible (and other religious texts).

A strong relationship exists between character education & student achievement and behavioral outcomes.

Character education was also related to higher levels of expressions of love, integrity, compassion, and self-discipline. Most of the founders of the modern day education system including Plato, Cicero, and the early Christians believed that developing loving, compassionate, and self-disciplined individuals was actually more important than creating intellectually sophisticated people.
